Iowan spring day
rolling fields, flower filled trees
nothing else like it
cuddles from Nutmeg
sweet kitty, licking my wounds
taking care of me
my hero taught me
power of positive thought
I love you, Grandma
warm summer evenings
make June full of adventure
chasing fireflies
a double major
religion and theatre
closely related
sprouts poke through the earth
May is the heart of Springtime
making the earth green
trying out my hand
origami and haiku
constantly learning
children in April
with raincoat and umbrella
on their way to school
no doubt it's an art
to catch the bus in the winter
without catching cold
the March lion roars
storms turn to gentle showers
lion becomes lamb
gently curled petal
a droplet of dew slides down
Mother Nature's bath
February morn
the groundhog sees his shadow
more winter to come
flipping over rocks
happily swimming around
my little goldfish
January first
sun peeks over snow-capped trees
dawn of a new year

blistering days drag
on forever, still I'm found
clinging to August
it's just when I thought
all hope was lost, did my past
and future arrive
